henriettami Hi mrrobbo, I saw this screen cast on twitter and thought wow this is just what I need but I cannot find the app anywhere in the app store. Can you please confirm the actual name for me as I am wondering if it is not available here in Sydney Australia.permalink
mrrobbo You can read a blog post about it over at http://www.thepegeek.com called "it's now possible" permalink
areufit Do you have any information you can share on the technology used to collect this data?permalink
mrrobbo Certainly possible Chris, however the data that has been collected is reflective of the type of work within netball. High Intensity Intermittent followed by periods of inactivity. In sure there are some inaccuracies however lots of really useful data collected. Thanks for the comment/retweet :)permalink
betchaboy So, for example, if a GPS was refreshing its signal every 2 seconds, say, and a person moved from their location and then returned to the location within 2 seconds, then the GPS would see them as not having moved at all. Perhaps this would explain the lack of really intense activity bursts... they would be slipping "under the radar" of the GPSs ability to see them? Possible?permalink
betchaboy That's pretty damn cool. :-) Nice work. My only question would be about the accuracy of the GPS units and their ability to respond to such rapid movements. I would have thought that there would be a slight lag between the movement of the person with the GPS and the GPS's ability to respond to it. permalink
