girlsdadx3 Tom, Great screencast. I tried something like this and it really works well and is so easy!! I had a few issues however with getting the control key to work. I "control" then click and drag to duplicate an object in powerpoint and could never get Storyline to recognize when I pressed control. It would show an error screen when I pressed "shift" or "Alt" but simply would not recognize the control key. Any ideas on what I might have done wrong. Keep up the great work!! I LOVE STORYLINE!!permalink

jeanettebrooks

jeanettebrooks @Jaime Hi Jaime! Currently if you use the logo panel in Storyline, there's not a way to disable it on a slide-by-slide basis. What a lot of people do, if they only want the logo to appear for some slides and not others, is insert the logo directly on a slide or slide master. If you need help with that, feel free to post in the Storyline forum & the community can give some more guidance: http://community.articulate.com/forums/65.aspxpermalink

Jaime

Jaime Thank you, Tom! Any idea on how to customize a particular slide with a "slide view" only when you have a logo set? I haven´t found any way of disabling the logo as you can with the menu, so it seems that with a logo on, there is no way of getting the slide view only for some slides?? Rgds, Jaimepermalink

tomkuhlmann I wasn't clear on the video.Essentially you can install and uninstall based on your needs. There's no need to have every font installed. The key is managing what you have and knowing what you have. This video was part of a series, so this is the least effective way to manage. I'd use a program like Font Express of even one of those web-based font managers. I wouldn't uninstall all of the fonts you currently have. @claudew: you create the font folder outside of the system font folder.permalink

Eimear_O_Neill

Eimear_O_Neill Tom, say once I set up a Font-Demo folder for a project's fonts...what then? do I uninstall all the current fonts from the pc? Love the concept but having difficulty in actually following the steps of implementation - please help :(permalink

nickj

nickj Thanks Tom - I hadn't spotted that it was Storyline you were working in.permalink

tomkuhlmann @nickj: to do the cut out in PPT would require that I recreate the shapes in PPT. Doing that way in Storyline means it's easier to quickly adjust the alignment and not have to move things back and forth between apps.permalink

nickj

nickj Hi Tom - thanks for the idea - I like it! Out of curiosity, in your second method for creating the frame, was there a reason for exporting to and image and then using transparency, rather than taking the two shapes in PowerPoint and cutting one out from the other?permalink

KateD

KateD Thanks so much! Download and your instructional video are very helpful. I've just solved a big headache with PP!permalink
